Welcome!

I'm Emily Hilton, pianist and instructor of Simply Classical Piano Studios. Born with an innate passion for music, I embarked on my journey into the world of piano when I was 7. During my high school years, I was privileged to develop my skills under the guidance of renowned teacher Yoshie Akimoto,  whose mentorship instilled in me a deep appreciation for the intricacies of piano performance. This period of intense study laid the groundwork for my future endeavors in the field.
After high school, I studied under Marlene Bachelder and earned a Bachelor of General Studies with an emphasis in music. My piano studies then continued in Pensacola, Florida followed by Abilene, Texas at the studio of Lora Lynn Christensen. I went on to earn the Associate of The Royal Conservatory (ARCT) designation from the Royal Conservatory of Music, completing my Elementary and Intermediate pedagogy certificates along the way, and I am currently pursuing an ARCT in Advanced Pedagogy. I hold a Master of Arts in Music with a Piano Concentration from Wesleyan College studying under Dr. Chenny Gan. My journey in music reflects a sustained commitment to excellence in both piano performance and pedagogy. I am a member of the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA) and the Georgia Music Teachers Association (GMTA).
I currently reside in Bonaire, Georgia with my loving husband and our five beautiful children. I have a passion for teaching that mirrors my love for performance and my days are spent teaching, continuing to expand my own repertoire, learning, and researching.
